According to dictionary.com, here are a few definitions of launch:
I continued to work in that cubicle, even though it was slowly killing me. I would repeat to myself, “I work to live, I don’t live to work.” Yet that is contrary to what Scripture teaches us. It made work sound bad, but work is good. Work existed in the garden before sin. “The Lord God took the man and put him in the Garden of Eden to work it and take care of it.” (Gen 2:15) You were created on purpose for a purpose. “For we are God’s workmanship, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do.” (Eph 2:10) The life coaching industry was new and intrigued me. I talked with my coworker’s coach to learn more. When my husband and I moved to Minnesota, I saved up, applied, trained, and received my life coach certification. Soon thereafter, I launched my own business, Fruitful Branches Coaching. I began to write, and to speak for women’s groups. Yet this was still only the start of the adventure the Lord has for me. What is your launch? What is your heart passionate about doing? I’ve found that it’s usually something a little scary, a stretch out of your comfort zone. Something you would need to depend on the Lord to bring about with hard work and perseverance. Yet also something really exciting, that gets your blood bubbling. It’s something you could talk about, and do, for a long time. What is that for you? Has your launch begun? It can happen simultaneously along another work that you are doing – of which may be a piece of that passion. Or it could be altogether different. Remember, you are deeply loved. We’ve been looking at that in the blogs this last month. The Lord designed you with a specific work in mind. All your life has shaped and formed you for this purpose. Explore. Discover. Seek the Lord on this. “For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future. Then you will call upon me and come and pray to me, and I will listen to you. You will seek me and find me when you seek me with all your heart.” (Jer 29:11-13) It’s never too late, no matter what stage in life, to step into the abundant life He planned for you.
