She looked at him with alligator tears at the corners of her eyes, grew calm, and took a deep breath.
“I need some time alone.” Pete and I glanced at each other. What did this mean? “Okay,” Pete said. “Take a moment to be alone.” She climbed off the bed, turned on the light in our closet, went in, and closed the door.

“Up the hill and down the hill?! Those are our directions?”
“Yes.” Those were our directions. I’m not sure whether or not they got us to our destination. Yet I know we had to know where we were going in order to seek how to get there. Where are you going? Are you on track? Here’s another true life story to illustrate:
